Introduction
Quote
The Center for Sustainable Development and Education in Africa (CSDEA) is a Youth led non-governmental organization that focuses on the empowerment and development of Youth and young women in line with the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals. She achieves this by encouraging personal development, community and national building, regional cooperation and global participation. The CSDEA started as Youth Initiators Nigeria in 2003 from a discussion between young people who were very involved in youth activism and wanted a drastic positive change in the development of their peers and has since been in the forefront of youth grass root mobilization, involvement and empowerment in eastern Nigeria in particular. It has collaborated with government, local communities, schools, development partners, the private sector, other youth groups etc in her projects and activities.

"We will have time to reach the Millennium Development Goals – worldwide and in most, or even all, individual countries – but only if we break with business as usual.
We cannot win overnight. Success will require sustained action across the entire decade between now and the deadline. It takes time to train the teachers, nurses and engineers; to build the roads, schools and hospitals; to grow the small and large businesses able to create the jobs and income needed. So we must start now. And we must more than double global development assistance over the next few years. Nothing less will help to achieve
the Goals."
